IOF Launches Wide-Scale Raid Across West Bank and Al-Quds, Arresting Former Prisoners and Civilians

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have conducted a massive raid campaign across the West Bank and Al-Quds, targeting a significant number of homes and arresting several individuals, including former prisoners and civilians. This operation has led to widespread tension and concern among Palestinian communities, particularly as multiple families have been subjected to military actions.
One of the most disturbing incidents occurred in Qalqilya, where the IOF turned the home of Jamal Dawoud into a military post. The forces also arrested several former prisoners, including Margaret Al-Ra'i, who had been released in the recent exchange deal. Al-Ra'i, alongside a worker from the Palestinian Red Crescent, was interrogated in the field for several hours before being taken into custody. The ongoing raids have left many wondering if this is part of a broader strategy aimed at re-arresting previously released prisoners.
The IOF’s operations continued across various locations, with arrests made in Jenin, Ramallah, and Al-Khalil. In Jenin, the father and brother of released prisoner Sultan Khallouf were detained to apply pressure on him to surrender. This marks the third time in as many weeks that Khallouf’s father has been arrested. Meanwhile, in Ramallah, occupation forces arrested two young individuals, Izz Al-Din Karaja and Aws Imad Al-Tawil, as they were in the Ein Bubin area.
The situation has become more dire with the arrest of 14-year-old Ahmad Khaled Al-Alami from Beit Ummar, north of Al-Khalil. Occupation forces reportedly beat Al-Alami before taking him to an unknown location, raising concerns about the treatment of minors in these operations. This adds to the growing number of young people caught in the IOF’s crackdown.
Additionally, the IOF detained Issam Al-Antouri, the father of freed prisoner Mu’tasim Al-Antouri, in Qalqilya after storming his home. Mu’tasim had been released as part of the recent prisoner exchange deal. These arrests underscore the ongoing repression and collective punishment faced by Palestinian families, particularly those linked to former prisoners.
The ongoing raids and arrests across the West Bank and Al-Quds highlight the escalating tension and the daily struggles Palestinians face under occupation. As these operations continue, many fear further reprisals and the expansion of military control in the region.
