Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades Mourns Heroic Fighter Abdullah Kamel Hassan Ayyash
The Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), has announced with deep sorrow the martyrdom of its esteemed comrade, Abdullah Kamel Hassan Ayyash, known by his nom de guerre "Harbi". Ayyash was assassinated by Israeli occupation forces (IOF) during a targeted operation in Tal Al-Sultan, Rafah, in June 2024.
Born in 1998, Abdullah Ayyash was a dedicated son of Palestine who played a critical role within the Brigades’ intelligence and reconnaissance unit. His journey in the resistance began through the student movement of the PFLP in 2018, where his unwavering commitment and political activism quickly earned him respect among his peers and leadership.
According to the Brigades’ official statement, Ayyash was at the forefront of surveillance operations, working diligently to monitor enemy movements and ensure the safety of resistance fighters in the field. His efforts were described as “vital and courageous,” contributing significantly to the resistance’s strategic capabilities in Rafah and surrounding areas.
The assassination of Ayyash represents a calculated Israeli attempt to weaken the resistance’s operational infrastructure. However, the Brigades emphasized that such losses, while painful, only serve to strengthen the resolve of fighters across Gaza and the broader occupied territories.
"The blood of our martyrs is the fuel that drives our struggle," read a statement from the Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades. "Comrade Harbi’s legacy will live on in every fighter who takes up arms and every youth who joins the path of resistance."
As tensions in Rafah remain high amid continued Israeli operations, the martyrdom of Abdullah Ayyash is expected to galvanize further resistance and spark renewed calls for unity among Palestinian factions. His life and sacrifice are now commemorated as part of the enduring struggle against occupation and injustice.
